Using Promotional Caps To Help Promote Your Business

by Mollie Suzzaana

It used to be something special when a child would go to a ballgame with his father and they would purchased a baseball cap featuring his favorite team. These type of promotional caps have gone way beyond the ballpark. They are now the most popular of headwear and while some use them specifically to keep the sun or heat off of their head, others wear them to cover up a bad-hair day, or a no-hair day, and yet others wear them simply for fashion.

Baseball caps are not just for picking up at the ballpark anymore. If you grew up a fan of one of the major league teams, you probably had one or more promotional caps you wore to cheer on your favorite team. But, now, they are the most popular style of hat and worn by most anyone for fashion as well as function.

While it used to be that these were worn pretty exclusively by guys, gals now wear them, too. Fashionable in pink and purple, they are made with a feminine edge. And, members of the Red Hat Society can be seen sporting red and purple ones. Although, many ladies still prefer scarves, which can also be adorned with promotional material for teams or other agencies.

They are great fundraisers as they are pretty affordable. Many large non-profit organizations offer them for sale as do local schools and sports teams. Because of their affordability and usefulness they are fairly easy to sell. They are great for local team sports, such as high school football or community-organized softball and baseball.

There are other types of head gear which also offer promotional materials including bucket hats and beanies. Like tee-shirts, and other things such as key chains, their initial cost is not too high giving a decent markup for promotions and fundraising.

Finding a business to print or embroider these materials is pretty easy. There are a lot of choices in most areas and also available through the internet. You should be able to order in most any amount you can afford, but, of course the more you order the more you will save on each piece. They come in children's sizes as well as adult and a variety of colors. Many places should let you mix and match in your order as well.

If you are looking to promote a non-profit or for-profit business, promotional caps are great for fundraising as well as getting the word out. Whether you are a new business in town, or have been around a while, continued marketing is key and this is great advertising. Those who wear them, will probably also give good recommendations, so you want to give some away to current or prospective customers. Make sure that your design has meaning, is to the point and easy to read. Hats attract attention, and you want yours to make a great and positive impression.
